Hello everyone,

I got my first bfp on Thurs, very thankfully, and that was 12DPO. However, it is now Tues, and my test aren't as dark as I would like them to be, they are quite a way off being as dark as control line. My digital test is still giving the "1-2" result, as it did on Thurs.

I know I am very lucky, but feel something is not right, as with my previous pregnancies the lines have been dark by now. Also, have been doing lots of searching on the internet and most tests I have seen are way darker than mine. In fact rather than get darker they seem to look the same since Sunday....

I am very frustrated but I cannot work out how to upload my photos!

Does anyone agree that they should be much darker, 3 or 4 days after my missed period?

THank you

Hi, im in the same boat as you, my 18DPO is not close to being dark as control line and i dont know why i cant uploads photos but B&B is acting weird for me.

Have you had bloodwork done? It's the only way you are going to know for sure if the levels are rising like they should. Besides, your lines aren't getting lighter, so I wouldn't worry too much. Mine never got dark!! In fact, they never got 1/2 as dark as the control line, even when I was 5 weeks along. Some women just don't get lines that get darker. Get your blood work done, and if alloud, confirm it with a 2nd blood work 48 hours later. :)

To put pics use photobucket to upload from pc, then copy and pste the code that starts and ends with [ img ] [/ img ] :)

Sorry to hear that, it's silly: you wait all this time for the positive, then comes a whole heap of worries after that.

I think I know that something is not right, so am trying not to get too carried away with it, but it's really hard as I'm sure you know.

I have trued really hard to get my photos on post, but just can't! I have an iphone too and though it would be really easy to do?

I am in exactly the same boat as you if it helps! Got my bfp last Wednesday at 14dpo. Got a faint line and a digi said 'pregant 1-2'. Anyway, have tested a few times since and even yesterday the line was no darker really and the digi still said 1-2. I have the dr ringing me at 3 cause I'm panicking.

I hope that is it? The top is my 12dpo, the bottom is from this am - 17dpo.

Thank you everyone for replying. I did think about getting a blood test, but where I am unless it's a matter of life and death I would have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment - and by then I figure that my lines will be darker , or the worst will have happened. Sorry for being gloomy.

Hope you can see pics!

They are definitely positive, and the first three look like they are getting progressively darker, when did you test with the last one, was it FMU? If not, that could be the reason. Also, i heard that even the same brand tests have different test line dyes so that may be another reason. Try testing with FMU tomorrow.

The same thing happened to me (if u look back at my previous posts). My lines started getting lighter and unfortunately for me, I miscarried. BUT lots of women have faint lines and go onto have healthy happy babies, so do not lose hope. It could go either way. I am praying for a sticky bean for you!

They look fine to me. Not all test are going to get much darker. Don't stress, and just enjoy your :bfp: CONGRATS!

I think they do look darker! Congrats hun, and try not to worry too much! Those tests look like they don't have a lot of dye in them. :)

they are pretty dark...they are progressing good to me..but if it will help have blood work done doll

It does look like they are getting a bit darker. My lines got a tiny, tiny bit darker each day. It was barely noticeable.

Can you pick up an FRER test--well, a few of them?

For me (and I tested tons after my bfp), it was easiest to see the progression on FRERs. They consistently got darker even after ten or so hours. So, I'd test with FMU, and then test around 2pm, and they'd be an itsy bitsy bit darker.

Also, if you look at the third test, the line also got thicker, which is great:)

The only reason I suggested testing more is because for me, it actually helped to ease my mind:) Sending hugs!

All test have different levels of dye in them. Using them for how high your hcg levels won't be accurate and you can scare yourself for no reason. Some of my tests took a week and half to get darker and once in awhile I got the odd test that even looked lighter b/c the line was thinner.(again amount of dye is different in each) So if you are worried call your Gp but I think all looks great! :hugs:

THank you everyone so much for taking the time to reply, I do feel reassured and am really trying not to test today (but I do have a rather handy FRER in my bathroom...)

Good luck to everyone! Will let you know what happens...

Also just thought I'd share my test experience: the superdrug test I used picked up the bfp a day before the FRER, and when I did get a faint positive on the FRER my husband could not see it. Also, the clearblue digital gave me a bfp before the FRER had a line.

I still feel they are not getting darker! These are my FRER tests, the top is Monday, middle Tues and the bottom is todays - Mondays looks darker to me.

I would like to get a blood test but I now it would take a matter of weeks.

Just wanted to check up on you girl....I know you are probably going crazy with worry. Did you test today? Just try and relax as much as possible. They are super positive and you may just be one of those girls who never get strong BFP's. Take Care and please keep us posted! Hugs!

Also I forgot to ask, I am not sure where you are from, but some digitals show how far along you are. We do not have those here, but if you do, I say go get one of those and see what it says. I love those, I wish we had them....then we wouldn't have to keep looking at lines! :)
