What a great thread idea! I'm still working on my nursery and am loving all the ideas

Here's a chair I'm making. It's not quite done (seat needs to be stapled in place and I was going to put a bit of text on it maybe). I found the chair, seatless and in need of repair, for $5 at a junk store and couldn't resist buying, fixing, and painting

I nearly bought something very similar from mammas & pappas but I know I could make it and thought ifI can get my bum into gear it would be nicer! You have reminded and inspired me again

Does everyone use a sewing machine to make these things?! I would love to but don't have a machine and hand sewing i imagine could take hours..

I am in the middle of repurposing a change table i bought from ebay for £6.

The other thing i am making (but havent started yet) - have bought a garden trellis about half a metre wide and about 1.6 metres long which i'm going to hang width ways above the cot. Its dark brown. am going to entwine it with leaves and fake flowers and then make material flowery bold letters in her name on to attach on the front too. Hopefully should look pretty and unique!

I started making a blanket for my daughter crocheting, but it ended up like a triangle and my great grandma had to fix it lol We made letters above her bed, her bedding was ladybugs so we got the letters and painted them red with black dots above her bed. I wish I had a sewing maching so I could make some fun things for this baby

I missed that but I love it! I have 2 chairs in my living roomt hat I painted up which are very similar!

MrsMalowey it doesnt take long at all with a sewing machine, there are loads of other things you can do aswell, people have made little pictures and framed them and murals on the nursery wall or got someone to help or let someone do it I love the brightly coloured things, very original and babies love bright colours and bold patterns

Zooy my mum is too, post some of the things shes knitted am sure people would like to see. Ive posted some my mum knitted x

so i said i would put pix up of things i made for my baby girl ...well i completly forgot to take mt camera up to my dads then started moving everything around in the room now i cant find my cam....ugh this brain has me going crazy lol

I love love love drawing. So i decided to start doing things for LO's nursery! Going to do 2 more beatric potter characters I think, then frame them in thick, dark wood frames, and have them going across a wall!
I want to draw more too. it's just thinking of what to draw! When LO is here, I'll definitely be spending all my spare time drawing him/her!

Just finished the chest of draws for little mans room i love the little elephant knobs, we're getting some elephants in there because his nickname is Chang which means elephant in thai, hehe
