LO is 10mo. He's never been a vomity baby, 2 weeks ago he had a sickness bug that lastest a few day. During this time he couldn't keep anything down, I was giving him rehydration salts but even they were coming back up. After a few days he got better. Then on monday he was being sick all day again, wasn't sick yesterday but has just vomited all of his breakfast up this morning.

Surely this can't be just another sickness bug so soon already can it? No temperature either time and apart from being tired he is his usual self.

Any advice?

Hi hun, I would suggest taking him to the doctor if he is sick again tomorrow. Is he also sick when you breast feed him? My lo had a sickness bug when he was younger than that but post weaning and my Mum said just to keep trying to breast feed him and not worry about solids. When he was older he had another tummy bug and I gave him things like banana custard. Sorry - can't remember what age he was for either bugs...
Hope he is better soon. :hugs: xx

I took him to the doctors yesterday and she said it was just a bug and just to get fluids into him. He's bright and happy and doesn't seem unwell apart from the vomiting. He was sick again last night after his dinner and again this morning after his breakfast. Not sure what to do now and I don't want to be annoying the doctors if it is just a bug, it just seems to be lasting a long time. Will take him to be weighed tomorrow and will have a chat with a hv then. xx

My LO had a bug that lasted a week but was a bit on and off so sick tuesday night, fine wednesday day (ate normally) sick wednesday night lots then fine thursday but off food and drink, fine thursday and friday until friday teatime then sick again. Fine saturday but sick sunday and monday. I took him dr but he was hydrated and alert so they were not concerned. I took him to get weighed once the sickness had passed and he lost 13 ounces whilst being ill, but the HV seemed unconcerned.
The bug just dragged on, but i was told to offer food as normal but not worry if he refused it. I gave him more milk to make up for less food. If LO was alert etc then it was just a case of letting it pass x

Thank you SO much for this! Its sounds just like my LO, absolutely fine (well a little more clingy than usual) unless he's being sick, I'm gonna get him weighed tomorrow so will get an idea if he's lost anything, but he's alert and happy so I'll just carry on as normal.

Thanks again! X

It must beca bug because ive just had it and so has dh!! Its grim!! Lo was sick onand off a few days ago so that may have been a bug he had but not sure.
