Ok so i thought i had decided on the 3d pram system in charcoal, have loved it since i first started looking. Now, by accident i have came across the linear freeway.

Can you lovely ladies please help me by pointing out the differences if you know any? to look at i can barely tell :dohh:

So your help again please.:shrug:

Thanks! :flower:

i've been looking at these to i think the only difference is the 3d one has 2 handles to push the pram and the freeway one had one big handle!! so i don't think there is too much difference!!
i've gone for the linear sleepover one!!

that was the only dif i noticed too, other than the cover of the 3d has swirls and the linear freeway was just plain.

The 3d has 2 handles and the Linear Freeway has 1. I have the Linear Freeway as to me this felt the more sturdy one. Then Babies r us had a good saving on the freeway and i went for it now patiently waiting to push baby around in it :)

You can get both prams in a variety of colours, depending where you buy it from.

We were debating on the 3d or linear, then we read reviews and have decided to go with the linear freeway.

So did u try both of these prams out and you thought the linear felt stronger? That helps me make my mind up a lil easier. Is there much dif in size? Thanks again x

I just googled 'Linear Freeway review' and 'Silvercross 3d review' and loads of sites came up, I just looked through the first few sites.

i tried both in the store and felt that the linear one was more sturdy when pushing than the 3d one, the 3d one felt quite flimsy to me in my opinion. even though iv gone for the sleepover it's the same chassis as the freeway!!

Yes we tried both,.... was OH that had the strongest opinion that he felt the 3D seemed wobbly adn not as strong. I wasnt gonna complain as the Linear Freeway was my favourite.

For me it was between the Silver Cross 3D and the Freeway for my first pram. I chose the Freeway for the following reasons:

* Both Silver Crosses have large baskets underneath and are easy to fold down and put up.

* The Freeway is easier to control as it has a straight handle whereas the 3D has two handles.

* The 3D has had a lot of bad reviews for babies growing out of them very quickly. Depends on if you're having more than one pram/stroller but I wanted one that was going to last awhile.

* The Freeway is rear facing (towards you) in both lie flat and stroller modes.

* The Freeway has won a lot of awards from parenting groups and magazines.

This is my second baby and with my 1st i got the m&p pilko pramette. That also has the 2 handles and i didnt like that about it and i also felt that pram wasnt very sturdy so maybe i would be better off with the linear too.

Will toys r us have both models in the store?

Thanks again ladies, as always alot of help! x

I would guess they do, I know most mothercare stores, John Lewis and Fenwicks (See you're from Newcastle :))have them both in.

I'm getting the freeway, I did look at the 3d, but as the freeway is sturdier, can be parent facing and has amazing reviews we chose that. Its on sale now, but we are getting it in the January sales as we are hoping the matching car seat will be reduced too. x x x

My oh has said we should wait till jan sales and it will prob b more of a bargain but then i always think but what if its not?? It prob will be on sale tho, wont it? i do admire the fact that you know ur gonna get that 1 but ur gonna wait fro it to get cheaper. infact, i think im going to copy off you and hope that your right. If i go and buy it now my oh will just rant at me when it is cheaper in the sales! hah  x

Im from Seaton Sluice? next to Whitley Bay. x

I'll probably cry if its not cheaper in the January sales, if I can get £100+ off the pram and a little bit off the car seat I will be very happy with myself. I'm watching it on 4 different websites so I should be able to get a nice bargain. :)
