simian line ( crease on palm of hand )

anyone else have one, or their children have it...

Doctor assured me that my baby is fine but told me not to go home and google, what did I do

now all paranoid

When my LO was born (home birth) the mw said "oh he has just one crease on his hands, he may have downs syndrome". Thanks a bunch! Just what I wanted to hear after giving birth! I ended up going to hospital because LO wouldn't feed and they were worried about blood sugar levels. I asked a doctor about the downs thing, she checked him over and said she doubted he had anything wrong and that the mw shouldn't have said that!

:0 what does it mean? Doc opened his hands on his 6 week check cos they're always fists and pointed it out. I said what does it mean? She just said nothing and carried on. She said did I have it which I don't so she said oh must and he sorta does

I googled it and found out that Robert de Niro and Tony Blair both have simian lines

and hiliary clinton....my oh and I dont have it?? I've googled it and some awful stuff came up, saying that mass murderers and religious fanatics usually have them god dam google..

and as for your mw?? wtf? Thats terrible....my doc pointed it out when she was in special care but said she was fine and that she has no symptoms of anything else and was not a problem...when i asked like what problems she said I didnt need to worry as baby fine

I have this! Although I didn't know it had a name until you posted this lol

I googled it too....and I don't have any of the problems that have been linked to this! I'm not a religous fanatic, or a mass murderer
It's very interesting though.

My nephew has this and he's fine..... My sister was also told (minutes after birth) that he may have downs syndrome and it sent her into a mad panic, which then (IMO) brought on her PND
I wouldn't worry hun xx
