Am I the only mum that is rubbish at remembering nursery songs? :( I end up singing "Jenny from the block" and "Jennifer Juniper" haha!
I think my favourite moment was reaching desperation and singing "pretty fly for a White guy" the other day while I was in the shower to keep her happy!

Does anyone else just sing whatever song they can remember at the time? I better stop it before she can talk and sing! :haha: xx

I sing a mixture of songs. LO doesn't care what I sing, he just loves singing!

I often adapt lyrics to include LO's name :haha:

I can't remember much nursery songs either so I either make songs up or sing whatever comes into my head.

DH and I make up songs for Alex, lol. DH's desperation song goes something like, "We do what we can, for the little man." :haha:

Lol! I love it! I looked up every song I could with DD name. Sometimes I just sing "go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep little monkey..." to that lullaby tune! :haha:
It's cute how they just love you singing even if you're rubbish like me! :haha: xx

I couldn't remember any either, so I made a lullaby/nursery rhyme station on the internet radio for DD, I've listened to them enough times that I'm starting to remember a few. The only ones I really know is...

Where is Pinky?
Little Bunny Foo Foo
The Itsy Bitsy Spider
The Finger Family
Pat A Cake

Lol and that's all with some help. I repeat the same ones again and again cuz they are all I know, but DD never complains :)

Here's mine that I made up for when Alex is sitting in his bouncey chair:
"The tickely toes and the baby's nose and a tickle tickle tummy tummy too!"

One I sing to Maria when she's grumpy (I sing it in Finnish but this is it roughly translated)
We have a fun baby
Her name is Maria
When baby is quiet/happy
Its nice to see

Cos this way waves her arms/legs/butt/various other body parts
And that way waves her arms
And this way waves her arms
And that way waves her arms

It always stops her grumpying and makes her laugh. Then I sing other versions about daddy too :haha:

I'm rubbish at remembering them when needed. Ethan gets to hear folk songs from the North East.

His dad sings to him. Songs by Meatloaf, Placebo etc. Nursery rhymes don't seem to cut it with Ethan anymore

Haha I know what you mean, while I try to get DD to listen to kid friendly songs, DH comes in and blasts his Seether, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avenged Sevenfold music for her. Oh well I started it, I took her to a Seether concert while I was 4 months pregnant with her, and then a Tool concert while I was 6 months pregnant

Atts is quite selective over his nursery ryhmeage. If anyone sings 'wind the bobbin up','the wheels on the bus','dingle dangle scarecrow', he shouts and screams in disgust. However, Three blind mice, incy wincy spider, oats and beans are all fine. His favourite at the moment however is Animal fair, complete with sound effects and actions. He joins in with us singing it.
