After 5 different ultrasounds throughout my pregnancy my doctor called me today and told me that theres a problem with the babys cord. Has anyone had this same thing and what was the outcome? I've been having a hard time in this pregnancy as it is due to 3 threatened miscarriages.

My little guy has a SUA also. It has me worried sick. We are going to see a genetic counselor tomorrow to talk about the option of an amnio...I know your post was made a few weeks ago...I hope all is well!

I am in the same boat as you hun, I was just told my baby boy has the same issue, and it is very very scary, but I was assured by my mid wife that it is relatively common, and there is no use for concern, if you don't mind can you share with me what your dr. told you??

Take a deep breath - it is pretty common, and not necessarily a cause for concern!

Our little girl had a SUA, and other than having to have a few extra growth U/S's, turned out perfect!

We were told that she would likely be early and small, but she ended up being four days late and weighed 7lbs 9oz. At two weeks old she was up to 8lbs 2oz, so she is growing like a weed! Good luck and keep us posted!
