Sleep groaning!!

Ok... is there ANYONE else who experiences involuntary 'sleep groans' ONLY while pg?? My husband thinks it's hilarious, it's happened to me with all 3 of my pregnancies, but as I begin to drift into sleep, I will HEAR myself let out these little "Hunnnnhhhhhh.....hunnnhhhhhh......" as I breathe out. I always wake up from it, feeling embarrassed, it's funny but bizzarre because I will find myself, in that twilight sleep between sleep and awake, thinking, "STOP groaning!! Focus!!" and I can't. It's not from pain or discomfort, it's not whimpering or snoring... just a long vocal noise as I breathe out. It's completely involuntary.

Anyone else....?

I can't say for sure if I do anything like that. My husband works the night shift so I sleep alone during the week. He hasn't said anything to me on the weekends, but he tends to fall asleep before me and is a pretty heavy sleeper so I don't think me making noises would wake him. What is weird though... Is when I am sleeping alone during the week I let the dog in our bedroom to sleep on the floor next to the bed. Almost every night lately I have been woken up.... I turn around and the dog is standing there staring at me! Once I look at her she goes back to laying down... (she didn't want outside or anything). So I have to wonder if I have been talking in my sleep or making some sounds that alert her and she is just checking on me. But I really don't know for sure.

I snore now! I probably used to, but now its louder.  I was trying to catch a cat nap on the couch today while watching some TV... three different times, I was alllllmost asleep and woke myself up with my own snoring. Now I'm utterly exhausted! I really wanted that nap... :haha:

Robin -- poor you. I only do that when I'm really, really tired, or I have a cold.
Aley, Yes!! It stinks because I wake myself up a million times.

"Huunnnnhhhhhhhh...."

OMG--I thought I was the only one that sleep groans when pregnant!! :hugs: You described exactly what happens to me. I had it with both pregnancies--especially bad in first trimester but still happens on occasion now.

Amerikiwi-- hoorayyy!!!! :hugs: somebody who understands! I was laughing to DH telling him I posted this thread only to discover nobody else has this issue! lol.... mine starts a little in first tri, but it's definitely worse as the pregnancy goes on.
