So I put a sleeping bag on sophia for the first time last nite as she keeps wriggling and rolling out her covers and night which was waking her up, and was amazed she slept through the nite for the first time in months and woke up amazingly happy which is rearly rare, I think officially that sleeping bags are amazing, plus watching her wriggling round like a caterpiller this morning was hilarious :)

I love sleeping bags! Trying to tuck sheets and blankets under the moses basket mattress without the lining pinging off was near impossible and every night the bloody thing almost got thrown out the window (obviously I would have removed Fran first :haha:). Once I discovered sleeping bags - oh my god it was the best thing EVER!

Oh yes!

Before LO was heavy enough to use them we used to tie them up at the feet so she looked like a mermaid. The weight guide is so they don't slip down and suffocate. We always made sure it was righty tight (so much so we couldn't even undo it in the end and no ends hanging). I'm sure the only times she woke before this time was because she kicked her blankets off and she for cold.

They are amazing and one of the few things I don't begrudge spending the money on!

Lol funny thing is I was really against them before because I thought they would be to restricting esp as shes such a fidget lol x

What weight can you start using them from and what do you put on your LO when using one?

I love them, LO looks so snug and cozy in his. He's in a 2.5tog one atm and he wears a vest and a sleepsuit under it, our room is usually around 16-18 degrees at night.

Charlie loves his, he likes the freedom swaddling was not for him. Hes been in them about a month, he looks tiny in the 0-6 but doesnt matter. I often say i wish i had one he looks so snuggly lol

I LOVE sleeping bags. My LO rolls around so much that sheets / blankets would never work xx

Love them! We've used them from day 1 - I got in a right tizz trying to figure ut how may sheets/blankets to buy for a newborn!

As far as I know its from birth, I think they have to be over a certain weight, but im not sure what it is, my LO just has a vest and pj top at the moment, but when I get her some new bigger sleepsuits she will be wearing a sleepsuit instead x

I've been using mine since she was 2 weeks old, they're fab!

I love sleeping bags, Callie use to kick the covers off then wake up cause she was cold. Sleeping bags totally solved the problem!

dont their arms and neck get cold in them though?

No, they wear appropriate clothing underneath, tonight Isobel is in a vest and pyjama top. If you buy the Grobag brand it comes with a guide saying which tog rating and which clothes to use depending on room temperature. Babies who have blankets not bags still have their arms out anyway, as you only tuck blankets up to their underarms, if anything a sleeping bag covers a bit more.

I love love love sleeping bags. They are the best baby purchase we made. I like them because they keep her warm during night feeds and she doesn't wake up from going back into cold sheets. She is also a super wriggler lol, so blankets wouldn't last 5 minutes!
