At what age are babies 'allowed' to sleep on their tummy if they prefer to do so? x

As per various SIDS guidelines, at one year. SIDS peaks at 2-4 months but can occur up to 12 months (I'm not sure if that's arbitrary because 12 months is no longer an "infant"). Most people do not seem to worry if the baby can turn over and raise it's head. Before then, many still do, either with an angelcare sensor pad or not.

theres been quite a few threads on this lately. maybe you should look back a couple of pages hun x

IMO when they can do it themselves back and forth - Fynn prefers his tummy but I still lay him on his back and turn him if he wakes in the night. He is ten months next week x Sam is a back sleeper

Ella has slept on her tummy ever since she could roll over x
