sleeping too much?....

My LO seems really sleepy today, he's had some awake time but i wouldnt say he's seen a whole hour before falling asleep again and sleeping for a good couple of hours, when he was awake he wasnt as awake as id have liked him to be, usually when dad talks to him he's all smiles but he was just staring at him.

Im probably being paranoid bcos he's been ill, is this normal for them to have sleepy days? He's feeding as normal, just a bit concerned.

Joe has days like this sometimes and my HV said as long as he's alert when he's awake, still taking his milk and having wet nappies, then maybe he's just having a lazy day.

How old it your LO? During growth spurts all Joe does is sleep and eat so maybe it could be a growth spurt? If you're worried hun, maybe call your HV, see if they have any advice xx

he's 9 weeks, you are probably right as he last got fed at 230 and usually goes 3 hours but has got up just now and is hungry again, im prob being paranoid xx

I'm the same when Joe has a day when his routine is different to normal hun. We feed on demand so if he's hungry, I'll give him another bottle and let him take what he needs. Some days it seems all he wants to do is sleep and eat, others he's awake loads!

If you're worried, definitely call the HV as they might have some advice x

thank you, ill give him another bottle and see how he is the next hour and ill def phone hv if still worried, he's definatly a bit more awake now he's shouting at me for food lol....thanks hun xx
