Hay all,

I knows some people who are a little sleep deprived might wanna punch me for posting this but I really need some advice. My little on has always been a pretty good sleeper. We put her down of an evening and that’s it till the next morning.
But recently she seems to be sleeping A LOT! On Saturday night she slept for 13 hours! Woke up and was shattered again about 2 hours later so I put her back to bed and she was there for another hour. Its still the same. She is constantly rubbing her eyes. Is this something I should be worried about? Any experience?

Worry that your good karma may run out soon?
:flower:

They do all their growing whilst they're asleep, so perhaps it's a spurt? What about her diet? Could she be lacking in iron at all? As long as she's not got a temperature, I wouldn't be worrying. xx

My lo is 14 weeks old and I asked the doc the same question.. she sleeps from 8pm, dreamfeed at 11 then back down till 8 am. Has a bottle and back to sleep within the hour for at least another hour, then pretty much the same all day she only seemed to wake for her feeds then for about 2 hours late afternoon.

Doc told me to keep a sleep diary, his reasoning was because I wasnt sleep deprived it didnt really affect me when she was awake iykwim.. did this and it actually turned out that she was awake for about 6/7 hours a day I just didnt realise it with not being exhausted.

No I think that is perfectly normal. 13 hours at night is nothing out of the ordinary as far as I know.
