hi all i just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar thing with dates etc?
my last period was on the 16th december..making me 6 weeks according to the doctor as this is when they go from however the conception indicator on the clearblue test says 1-2 weeks which means by doctors dates 3-4 (says on the leaflet) but this still puts me 2 weeks behind so im wondering if my hormone levels are low or not increasing?
as surely i couldnt ovulate and concieve when my period was due which is what the test is trying to say.
last test was done on the 24th jan which makes it 8 days after af due as i have 31 day cycles.

so sorry for long winded story but just really need some advice :) thanks

i no it's really hard, but try to stay positive, from what i've read, these conception indicators are often not correct, they are based on the average women's cycle, and they wouldn't take into account say if you had a long cycle.
also, 'dates' are always a bit tricky, often when you are dated by your scan ar around 12 weeks, they use baby's measurements so may alter a bit.
all this said, i think everybody worries :hugs: xxx

hi jo20072007
I done one of them clearblue conception things when i was 17wks the last time i was expecting and it told me 6-8 weeks...i dont think they are too accurate...go from the first day of your last period and it should be in or about right...congratulations on your :bfp: xx

thank you :) im hoping they are wrong and its so tempting to keep doing the test to see if it changes (they are so expensive though!) xx

also as i took the test at 8 days late should a line test (not digital) have a really strong line by now or not? x

Hi Hun,

Is there any chance that you could have ovulated later this month..? For instance my LMP was 16th December and I'm 6 weeks today based on that - however I know that I ovulated a week later this month than I would normally so I would say that I'm only 5 weeks today based on that.

Also those conception indicators are based on average hormone levels for each week so yours may be slighter lower than the average, but that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong at all - everybody is different that's why it's just an average :hugs:

The other thing to think of is you could have ovulated a few days or even a week later, and then some ladies don't implant until 12dpo which would make it even later for you hormones to really kick in and give the positive - hence the lighter line and the digi response.

Please try not to worry :hugs:

thank you pink! well funny thing is i had a pos ovulation test very late but as it was 4 days before my period i thought it was an error and if i ovulated that late and got pregnant that late surely it wouldnt stick?
i only know as i opened an ov test my mistake so used it anyway lol.
yeah mine was 16th dec so dr says 6 weeks but i would say more 4 by the light line etc
thank you ladies for your advice, hope im not being a pain. just worried as i have had miscarriages before so it kinda got me freaked out x

<a href="https://lilypie.com/"><img src="https://lbdf.lilypie.com/B4i7.png" width="400" height="80" border="0" alt="Lilypie Pregnancy tickers" /></a>

does anyone know how to get the ticker to show up? thought from the instructions on lilypie that u copy and paste from the code they give you? thanks

go into user cp then edit sig then paste the ticker thing in there, as for the conception indicator thing they are not always accurate so dont stress about it, as for the ? about strong lines different tests are more sensitive, so it depends on what ones you took, ic never gave me a strong line. hope this helps xxx

I'm not sure to be honest - the one I had showed two links, one of which was for posting on boards/forums and I think it started with img

Let me see if I can do it

Right you need to select a different format at the end page to get the right code - select the PseudoHTML under forum signature

HTH - let me know if it doesn't work!

lol i lied it works now! thank you. and thank you everyone for your advice and help. x

yeah they re way too expensive to keep doing them,my line test is fairly clear but is not as dark as the control line...last time i got a faint one 2 days before af was due and then a more clear one after a couple of days but never went as dark as the control line???? have you been to doc? lots of people are getting early scans...i didnt get a scan til 18wks last time and another 1 at 32 weeks and that was it!!!

hi yeah i went to the doctors and all he said was... take another test in a few days and if the line is faint still then thats not good and you will mnore than likely miscarry and if the line is stronger then book in to see the midwife.
i was clearly having a blonde moment though as i bought completely different tests to what i used before...how thick lol
the last ones were suresign and were 12.5 mui and the next lot were tescos own which were 25 mui and the digi which are about 25 aswell i think. well the faint line was on both but im asuming that as the tesco test was less sensitive then the faint line would of been darker on the other test if i had bought the same.
so i booked in with the midwife anyway but they cant see me for another 3 weeks so im just sat here fretting :-(
