Alex is still under his birth weight at 9 days old, should i be concerned?
My MW isnt but asked if i was eating and drinking enough, im just back into my old habits which is the 3 meals a day and couple of snacks but now i feel like its not enough?

I don't think you need to be concerned if your midwife isn't. If you're managing to get 3 meals a day that sounds like you're eating fine to me, I often used to forget meals completely in the early days. :hugs:

I wouldnt be concerned. I think they can be under their birth weight for a good 2 weeks and still it's not an issue if they are steadily gaining. :)

All you can do is more of the same - keep eating as well as poss and try to get a bit extra over and above your usual, especially carbs - oats are a good one as they are good for milk supply too. :)

as the others said i wouldn't be too concerned. babies can loose up to 10% of their birth weight within the first 2 weeks, i think only after that do they start getting a little worried. As long as your baby has plenty of wet nappies you're doing fine.

Daisy took 15days to get back upto BW and she is thriving now - I wouldn't worry BF just takes a bit longer than formula fed in general.
