SMA - absolutely rank!

Anyone tasted all the formulas? Why does SMA taste so awful?? Its the only one that tastes like sick that has been resicked back up lol, the others are quite sweet!

I feel really bad giving her SMA Gold now but the ingredients are pretty good so I've been told and she hasnt had any tummy issues but I wouldnt want to drink that! Aptamil, C&G and Hipp tastes quite nice in comparison lol x

lol iv tasted most formulas and i have to agree that SMA is disgusting but babys seem to like it, cow and gate is very sweet tasting so is aptamil, my LO is on C&G and i dont mind tasting the milk, when i used SMA years back with my son i couldnt lick it off my wrist coz it made me gag lol xx

You shouldn't feel bad giving it to her. It's all she knows and it taste nice to her. My little one was on SMA until it made her poos so hard then we had to swap.

thanks hun - the new formula they've just brought out doesnt seem to make her constipated so thats good, its more like a paste now rather than hard lumps!

Dont really want to change her milk as putting her on follow on soon and she'll only be having 3-4 bottles a day so no point really x

mum2bejodi is right, its all they know when it comes to taste, dont feel bad giving it to her and i agree if ur changing her to follow-on in a matter of weeks i wouldnt change it, she seems to be doing well with SMA thats all that matters, my LO is 7 weeks old and is on her third change of milk aptamil made her reflux and colic worse and she always had stomach pains during and after her feeds, i then changed her to Cow and gate first milk, she was ok-ish with that milk but i found she still was fussy at the bottle and was in discomfort during some of her feeds, on the advise of the doctor iv changed her to C&G comfort milk and it seems to be really helping, if she is settled by this milk then i wont be changing it
