So im thinking of getting my little boy some SMA stay down for his reflux, had gaviscon but it just doesnt keep all his bottles down, and the doctor said hes only allowed 6 a day, well he has more than 6 bottles and if he doesnt have gaviscon instead of bringing back some of the bottle its the whole bottle and then some, meaning hes hungry in half hour just a vicious circle really..
firstly do i need to ask gp first or can i just get him it? i really dont see why i would need to talk to the gp first for her to fob me off with more 'medication' that may or may not work..
Also anyone uses sma, can you tell me EXACTLY how they make the bottles up?
i know it has to be chilled water, so is it harder for it all to dissolve?
do you put boiled water in bottles then bottles straight in fridge or just put boiled water in a jug or big bottle then put into baby bottle when need be?
also once the change has been made from c&g (formula i use now) to sma stay down, is there no turning back?
