Smoking when TTC

How is it that everyone I know smokes and manages to conceive just like that & I am the healthiest person going - dont smoke, barely drink and I am the one struggling?? and the first thing they ask you at the drs is do you smoke? As its is really bad when you are ttc? Is this true as it does not seem the case to me??

I smoke and still nothing after over a year of ttc. I try quitting but end up smoking again when i get upset or stressed.
My oh smokes too so gonna have to cut it out soon if we wanna baby.
