Ok, so a bit of a long story but I'll try to make it quick.

This summer I was working at a dairy farm, near where we were living which is almost 2hrs from home but closer to OHs job. Hated the job, hated where we lived, and made no money so I quit. OH and I moved into his mom's house until the minihome we are getting is finished (he is a bit farther from work but makes more money as he gets travel pay).

I found out I was pregnant last week, and today I applied online for a few jobs while OH was at work. When he got home and I told him, he said he didn't want me to have to work while pg, he wants me to relax and not have to stress about things. He says he makes enough to support us both, which is true, but I worry. I want to at least be able to get some maternity leave, even if it's just so we can put it in savings or have it for a little extra spending money. But on the other hand, not having to work sounds so nice. But I also feel I'll get restless.. I'm just so unsure what I should do.. any advice is so appreciated ladies!

If you feel well enough to work and are really worried about getting restless then it seems worthwhile to work. That's what I think anyway. I hear that your OH wants you to relax and take it easy and that's really great of him but if you're going to be bored and going crazy at home - then it might be better to be able to get out of the house while you still can. As for the extra income - that's always a good thing to have. ;)

Personally I've been too sick to do anything so I'm thankful that I freelance from home because I just haven't taken on any big projects or projects with crazy deadlines and only work when I'm feeling up to it. I am going a bit stir-crazy because I haven't felt well enough to leave the house like I usually do and hang out with friends or even to just go to the grocery store.

If I felt well enough to be out and about I most definitely would take the opportunity to do it - but that's just my 2 cents. :)

I won't lie pregnancy can seem VERY long when you're not working - I was signed off uni early on and missed quite a bit so my uni told me to take matewce early (basically off from 12wks) it's long and lonely. Friends are all at work, there's only so much day time tv you can watch and you kinda go a bit stir crazy.

If you want to work, then I'd say work. Get a part time job doing something you enjoy that it doesn't matter if the pays rubbish. Explain to dh that it's not about money it's about sanity!

Good luck with your decision.
