Just missed my 4th period.....thats 112 days since my last one

I just want to be pregnant

Update: I've got my appointment this afternoon to find out what's going on, can't wait! Been having pos OPKs like crazy which I think might be something to do with the agnus castus? Anyone else experienced this?

Hi :) do you have Pcos? Or have you just come off birth control?

Sorry you're having a rough time :( I know how hard it can be when all you want is a baby - lots of women here do! But I was on the implant for 13 months which stopped my periods altogether and for the first 134 days after having my implant removed, I had no period at all. Then I took 1500mg of Dong Quai with 1600mg of vitex a day for 3 days which brought on AF.
I then had an anovulatory cycle of 52 days and another anovulatory one of 45 days, but since those 2 I now do ovulate on my own!

good luck. I hope the witch shows up soon for you so you can start ttc :)

Hi Destiny - thanks for your reply :)

I dont have diagnosed PCOS...i'm waiting on a gynae appointment to look into what's causing it. I fell pregnant naturally in 2011 but it ended in miscarriage, I then started a new job and we were moving so I had the implant put in, but removed about 6 months later. From then I went on Rigevidon pill which I was taking up until August last year. When I came off it I had a normal AF exactly a month later, then missed a month, then was normal again up until my last period in Jan....no sign of it since then!!

I'm interested to hear that you used Dong Quai, i've heard lots about that. Maybe i'll give it a try!

Are you in the UK? Can I ask where you got Dong Quai from?

Yes I am :) I bought it from Holland and Barrets - I bought my vitex there too.

it helped - even though I didnt O for those first 2 cycles, it was reassuring that I was getting AF naturally. I only induced it the first time!
My cycles after the 2 long anovulatory cycles, my cycles became around 23 days with o on day 6 right up until this cycle, where I only O'd on CD23 - in my tww now!

Going that long without a period, a gyno will be able to give you meds to jump start AF and hopefully they will stay on track after that. I think it's called provera.

Hiya,

I can understand your frustration. With me having PCOS, it's routine really. Hope the specialist can find out why you're not having regular cycles and help you.

Don Quai and Vitex are really good, may take a while for full effect though to regulate your cycle. If I don't get my period and am 100 % sure am not pregnant, I use natural progesterone cream. Got it from amazon, I think. I use 1-2 pumps in the morning and before bed to build up progesterone in my body, do that for 5 days, then stop. The fall in progesterone usually brings on my period, works most of the time.

In case you have PCOS it's worth watching your weight, less carbohydrates and you often get metformin prescribed which helps with insulin issues which can cause hormone irregularities.

Hope though, none of the above will be relevant to you and that your cycles regulate on it's own. TTC really is a journey to learn patience... :winkwink:
