Tomorrow I am having Laser eye surgery to correct my vision, I've wanted this (and have been saving) for YEARS! now that it is tomorrow morning I am starting to get nervous and have been thinking wearing contact lenses and glasses isn't that bad hehe. I hope it all goes well, please think of me and say a little prayer:flower:

I had the procedure done yesterday morning, as soon as I sat up on the bed I could already see better and my vision progressed throughout the day. I woke up this morning and I could see everything! it was amazing. Had my follow up appointment this morning and my right eye has 20/20 vision already, just waiting for the left eye to catch up although they said this is perfectly normal and can take up to a week. IT IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE!

Thinking of you! I had my eyes lasered about 4 years ago - best thing I ever did!!

I could see more coming out than I could going in! (About 45 minutes after i'd had it done!)

Take sunglasses - you will need them

Eeeek exciting, i so wish i could afford to have this done, alto i do think my eyes are so bad, i couldnt have it done, good luck for tomorrow x

Week! I had mine done about 4 months ago. Amazing! My vision wasn't the worst but it's so great not having to wear glasses.

It's not pleasent but it's not the worst thing I've ever experienced. I recited old McDonald over and over in my head to forget what was going on.

Good luck! Let us know how you get on. I'm saving for this too at the moment.

how was your vision straight after? and then after a few days? I am planning to travel from London up to Scotland on Sunday, really hope I am feeling up to it as I am visiting a good friend and her daughter and not seen them in a while.

wanted to add I am not driving so I can rest my eyes the whole journey if need be

Eeek! Good luck :)

It's something I've been considering having done, my mum had it done about 2 years ago and said it's the best thing she has ever done. I know for the whole day of when she had it done she had to rest her eyes and wear dark sunglasses. She also had to continously put drops in and sleep with special goggles on so that she didn't rub her eyes in the morning.

So happy for you!!! :happydance: I had my Lasik done about 12 years ago and it was the BEST THING I have done, too! After wearing contacts and dealing with all the solution and rubbing my eyes and losing contact lenses all the time, it is so nice to be able to just live my life without thinking about any of that. I remember the first day I woke up after the Lasik and I couldn't believe I could see the digital alarm clock from across the room! :headspin:

I still love it 12 years later and I would recommend it to anyone.
