So there's this wedding...

My brother-in-law is getting married in September. I just realized yesterday that its kind of the end of July already, and that September comes after August, which means I should probably find something to wear.

I'm going to be 28 weeks along by their wedding, so I imagine I'll be rather large. I would like to wear something that is cool/light, so that I don't overheat too much, but is flattering and looks nice. I don't wear dresses under any circumstances except weddings, so I am at a loss of where to even start looking.

Anybody have any ideas on a style of dress to look for that won't look like a mu-mu? And that looks nice... isn't too expensive... is suitable for a small wedding...

And where do I even start looking? I'm in the US. I'm struggling to find maternity shirts and pants, I haven't even considered trying to find a DRESS!

mothercare have a sale atm with some nice stuff as do new look, i got a love skirt there for a wedding last weekend, i will be using it for a wedding in 4 weeks time lol

I have a wedding on the 6th of Aug and haven't even started to look yet. Motherhood Online has some really nice dresses (too late for me to order from online). We have a store called Thyme here in Canada. I think there are ones in the US. I plan to go look after work today.. I just hate the idea of buying a dress to wear Once. So I plan on getting something I can wear to work and dress up for the wedding!

I had my SILs wedding on Saturday and I wore an non maternity maxi dress, it was tight though. As im carrying twins Im already huge, looking like i did at 30 weeks with my son.

Everyone said i looked great, was nice way to look nice and obviously pregnant but not just pregnant woman at wedding but looking nice too. if that makes sense.

I am going to a friend's wedding next weekend and will be 25 weeks pregnant. I have a fairly sizeable bump already! I'm in the UK but am wearing a flowery maxi dress (a maternity one), and dressing it up with a pashmina, bag, and nice jewellery. Plus have treated myself to some nice make up and getting my hair cut tomorrow so I can look and therefore feel my very best

I browsed Motherhood and JC Penney and found a couple maternity maxi dresses that I like (if I can find a cardigan or something to go over them, very self conscious about my arms ) and a plain black skirt that I could just pair with a nice top. The dress option is actually cheaper I'm waiting for my husband to wake up so I can ask his opinion
