So, we've been trying for 12 months, what next?

Got witch today (chose this symbol because it's become so monotonous, the same damn thing every month, know what I mean?) so that now makes it official - we've been trying for 12 months.

I've had the CD21 test and the hubby's had his swimmers tested, all fine so far.

My dr suspects I might have had a cyst or 2, and I have a 9-10 day luteal phase which puts me on the borderline.

I'm gonna go visit the dr again and ask for more tests. Eg. thyroid tests. Can anyone recommend what else I can ask for?

What about ultrasound and HSG? They can check to see how your tubes are then take it from there?x

I'd ask for your GP to refer you to a specialist. They could then check for blockages, and do ultrasounds to confirm cysts or not.

Definitely ask for a laparoscopy hunni - they check everything out and do the HSG whislt you are under - so it gets everything done in one go.

CD21 is bloods taken on cycle day 21. It is a test that checks hormone levels and confirms whether ovulation has taken place or not. It is usually the first test to be carried out by a GP prior to referral to a fertility specialist.

i realised today we have start to ttc in december so we are not 1 year yet but because i have cycle of 26 days about mean in a year i get 13 cycle ...so really in november it should be 1 year mark if you know what i mean ....

Just a word of support girlies I had 15 months of unprotected sex before I got pregnant and I was secretly convinced there was something wrong, then out of the blue the day after I graduated I realised I was late and tested positive.

(granted we weren't 'trying' i.e. calling him home to have it NOW!, but all the same we did have alot )

So I just wanna say dont give up - sending you some dust
