Lol I'm super bored and trying to figure out if I should make meatloaf or not. I've been craving it and I know OH is sick and would love that. Just making sure I've got all the ingredients and whatnot, and looking for recipes I'd like online.

What are you all having for dinner/tea?
And if you already ate or made something, how was your day?! I'm bored, help me! Maybe we should do a survey or something!

Haha you really are bored aren't you!
I had pasta bake, twas yum!
And my day wasn't good, a nasty man shouted at me! I hate working in retail :(

Mmm pasta sounds so good. I really wish we had some greens for a salad because I'm craving a salad, too, but oh well. Must check the cupboards to see what I have to work with. :)

I'm sorry your day was less than spectacular! My day has been really easy, thank goodness. Doing lots of laundry so I have clothes for the work week and packing a bag. Then I get to go do dishes and cook, of course!

Ergh have some of mine, I buy tons of it will all the best intentions of being health but it ends up going all soggy and nasty!
Oooh wowzer! Where are you off to if your packing a bag?

My best friend is being induced Monday morning, so after I get off of work at 5:30 I have to rush into the city (1.5 hours away!) to hopefully be by her side. I have accepted that I probably won't make it in time, but last year I did!

Last year she was induced on Monday morning, but I had to work til 9:30pm so thought I wouldn't make it. Made it down by 10:30 and she didn't push the lil bugger out til 5:18am on Tuesday. :p I'm really hoping it goes the same way this time around.

Awwwww! How lucky are you getting to be there for her :)
God i couldnt be the one next to someone giving birth, i wouldnt know what to say! Id make the most awfull and awkward birthing partner to ever live!

Fingers cross for you that you make it :)

Btw all the talk of food made me hungry so i made a cheese and ham toasty ;)

Just don't tell her you hope for such a long labor! :haha:
I'm having chicken on a stick and mashed potatos. No green, haven't got any either! But I'm having fruit for dessert, so it compensates right?

Thank you, darlin'! :p

I just went in and made the meatloaf and now it's in the oven. I decided to use my regular recipe because it just so happens to be delicious, lol!

The first time 'round with my friend giving birth, I had no idea what to say or do. The nurses gave me a wet rag to put on her forehead cause she was sweating a lot, so I cleaned up her face. I told her beforehand that no matter what, I was NOT looking "down there", but when they said his head was showing she asked me to look and I did. I stayed there the entire time he was being pushed out because it was crazy!! What a crazy experience. I didn't know how hard it hit me until I saw her mom starting to cry and I busted out in tears. It was just love at first sight! It was really so magical. I can't wait to be the one giving birth, however I won't have anyone but my mom and OH in the room, methinks. I couldn't handle being surrounded. With my friend this time will be me (fingers crossed!), her DH, her mom, and her sister (whom the baby is being named after). So it'll be a full room.

I told her to keep her legs closed, or else! Muahaha! :haha:
She is desperate to have me there, though, I bet she'd try and delay it if the time came! She says she can't do it without me, but I sure as hell hope that if it happens, she can. :p

I think I'll make mashed potatoes, too!

It must be amazing to see a birth! I'm hoping sil will ask me to watch her CS cuz her husband is freaked out by surgeries. Actually, I'm pretty sure he'll come around! But hey if she decides to have a VB I'll try to be there!

Ugh, I'm not a big chicken fan but my cholesterol is high (geez I'm only 28!!!) so I can't have too much red meat :(
But the potatos were good even tho I managed to burn them . Yes I am an EXCELENT cook!

I am a TERRIBLE cook! I had to force myself to learn just a few things when I moved out, and I haven't really expanded yet. Cooking meat always makes me super nervous, cause I think I'll undercook it and get us sick. But it hasn't happened yet. (Knocks on wood!)

Oh, beef is not that big a deal! Here in south of Brazil we have a dish that is called "carne de onça", something like "panther meat" but don't worry it's made of beef! Well it's made of RAW beef, seasoning and bread and doesn't get anyone sick. The arabs have a raw beef dish too.
It's chicken you have to worry about cuz you might get salmonella - never a good thing!

Yeah, I cooked chicken for the first time by myself ever about a week ago. I was squirming the entire time. I was making a curry chicken stir-fry type thing, and was going to leave the chicken just halved but got too afraid so had to cut it into tiny pieces and check each piece's temperature... lmao! It turned out very well though, I was proud of myself. I didn't even look at a recipe! :)

Yay good job! I love trying new dishes too but it's not every time they turn out tasting good.
