Sob...all overdue April Mummies, come here!!! Overdue Thread!

You will be fine! hey sunday is only 3 days away, you will have your baby before you know it now, the panic as it draws near might just be enough to start you off, with my first I had nothing until I went to bed the night before I was due to be induced, 10 mins later I felt all crampy and it all started just like that! I'm secrectly hoping that will happen again this time if not before, I'm having really painful contractions but they dont seem to be progressing any which is equally annoying!! You will probably deliver as i'm about to get my induction, I bet he's smaller than 9lb2, I reckon 8-81/2 thinking i'm on for at least 9 and 1/2 if not 10 - ouchie!! xxx

I know, its weird to think after all this time, this time next week he will be in my arms eeekkkkkkk!!!!!!!

Labour dust your way. Lets hope this talk of inductions spooks these babies into coming out!!!!

Something new i just read has anyone tried a glass of wine? It says sometimes all us overdue women need is to relax with a nice glass of wine and let our bodies take over, I'm sure I would be half cut off 1 glass after all this time lol! certainly not the worst induction method ive read though!! xx

Not endorsing or suggesting in anyway - I got a birth book from the libary and one of stories was written by a woman how was recommended to smoke a joint and apperently it did the trick!!! Now, I was under the impression that it mellowed you out!!!

Got a bottle of Lambrusco light, less than 4% knocking about in the back of the fridge (~where it came from I don't know!!!) Think i'll still to my Alcohol free Pear Koppenburg, might get blind drunk on the Lambrusco

I had the sweep and MW said I am 2cm dilated but very very high back cervix.
They were going to leave me until next Weds!
But hospital fully booked all next week with inductions so I have to go in Saturday morning (if I don't go before then) where they will see if I need the gel or have waters broken.

It so good to see a finish line in sight!

The sweep was uncomfy because she had to really get right in because of my high cervix,bloomin' hurt and got bad cramps now.

On the wine part, in the Antenatal classses I attended a glass of wine was recommended during early labour to help you relax!!! Now, shall I pack one of those small bottles in the bag for the hospital???

natural pain relief! I can see those mini- bottles of Rose with my name on them

MW told me that was why I wasn't making progress,my high cervix,it doesn't want to co-operate,bloody typical!

I go in for a 41 week ultrasound tomorrow. Protocol they said because of amnio fluid. If I have less then what I should they will induce me tomorrow I think. But if all is ok then monday for Gel it is! I wonder how big he will be on tomorrows ultrasound. I am so excited I think this weekend will be going too slow for me. UGH

Lol at the wine bit sounds good but I still would attempt it.

ellismum I have had loads of pains and no progress. I am not even dilated They tried to attempt a sweep too but nope I'm miserable with ya hun. I am so sorry sweetie. Here's hoping for labor tonight for you Ill be 41 weeks saturday.

Hellooooo I'm still here! Contractions have eased up a little but are still coming every couple of hours. I'm hoping it will happen this weekend - Saturday morning would be a very nice time

I've got my induction booked for Tuesday morning just in case things don't progress on their own.

Good luck to everyone - get down on your hands and knees and s-w-iiing those hips! I'm actually sat here with the chair back to front to get the baby to turn again, little rascal is back against my back again.

I actually fancy a beer right now, what a fantastic idea and it will take my mind off my cramping hehe.

Off to stock up on some sleep now. OH has to be up at 4.30 for his shift (bloody airports, why can't they open 9 - 5?? lol) hate this start time, I can never get back to sleep

i'm an emotional wreck

OH has had to go away for a very important brother's wedding this weekend...and am reallly shitting bricks baby will deicde to come when he's 5 hours away.

He wasn't going to go but decided he should as his brother got paralysed last year so this is major thing and important plus cervix still shut.

but hormones are everywhere :'(
