hello ladies can i ask afew questions about these soft cups ,its abit

i would like to try them but quite often my cervix can be quite low as in low as to my second knuckle of a finger i know its abit of a tmi thing of me to say but would it even be something to bother with when sometimes things are ver shallow and my cervix is easily located?? would that thing actually go up there properly??i know things change alot whilst having sex but was just wondering

wantingagirl-I think they are good-there's been a lot of bfps on here so obviously they don't prevent it. I guess I just worried too that what if I was blocking them out? I've been using them since Dec. I think.

Hayley-they seem to mold themselves right around your cervix and cup it pretty tightly-I don't think having a low cervix would make a difference for you hun

i did have a good experience with these. they cause me to have period-like cramps when they are in though even when they are in correctly. im sure it's because i have a sensitive vaginal canal and sensitive cervix.

I have used 2 of them so far and the only drawback is that they are slightly too big around for me so when i cough it pops out of place and causes bad leaking. I read online that if you can't get it to stay behind your pubic bone then more than likely you are part of the 10% of women who are just too small.

In order to counter this, i had to figure out how to not cough after sex so the forward portion of the ring would stay lodged where it's supposed to. I took a cough suppressant in pill form. sudafed i think. worked really well and helped me fall right asleep.

i am very tiny especially in the waist so it all makes sense. I don't get period cramps really, i only get them if i'm wearing a tampon, and apparently i get them with the softcups too lol. But overall they work really well. I didn't get the suction part because they're to big for me but they did cup my cervix and i could feel it through the bag, it wasn't loose or anything and wasn't too tight either.

i havent ovulated yet but my OPK is very close maybe today or tomorrow. i am cd 16 right now. gonna use another cup tonight

hey girls. This is my first cycle using the softcups. I hope they work. But first i have to confirm I even O'd this cycle. I got a strong +OPK on Sat (CD22), but my temp is just barely climbing and hanging out around my CL, so I'm a little worried I didn't O or am not going to. But either way, I'm still pretending I did since I got the +OPK.

Titi, could you put down for testing on the 21st of July. Thanks!

Thanks Jamie! I think as long as I take my meds i'll be fine. They were at 0.9 last blood draw so that's great =) I will tell you before I was diagnosed I thought I was going crazy and my husband kept telling me something was wrong with me. I didn't even relate how i felt to TTC so i didn't know it was connected. When the dr diagnosed me this past Feb I could have kissed him lol. The most improvement has been with my intolerance to cold. It's almost gone now. I felt like a thin frail old lady before and i'm only 25!!

I got my first ++OPK today, cd 17 and i only have two opks left LOL figures. Using a 4th softcup tonight and then i'll be done hopefully!

Last nite was my first time to try to use the softcup after BDing...but I felt so disappointed. I lay on the bed for 3 to 5 minutes with a pillow under my hip, then put in the cup and waited for another 10 minutes. But when I got up, a lot of sperms still leaked out. Should I have waited longer before putting in the cup? I will try again tomorrow...

I could add to the statistics! I used softcups religiously for 3 cycles! Or 4? Anyway I signed up on the thread the first month, but it got too heartbreaking to have to come on and post about the witch every time!

Congrats Whitbit that is great news!!

Gean it is tricky the first few times i had some leakage too. I figure if you wait it gives the sperm time to ooze downward and settle so putting it in right afterwards would be best. I read somewhere online to kind of use the cup in a scooping action against the back wall so that it catches any sperms that are headed the wrong way as you slide it in. Remember to push it in horizontally and not vertically like a tampon. Trying this helped a lot, i didn't even have to lay down afterwards. Also the cups are too big for me but still managed to get nice and tight against my cervix. Practice makes perfect!
