so i was talking with dhs aunt about my 7 month old having trouble sleeping because she is cutting 4 teeth at once, and she turned to me and said ooh you know what you should do.... crush up some ADULT aspirin and give it to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like your joking you know my daughter has several holes in her heart so giving her medicine that thins blood could kill her not to mention the dangers of giving a baby adult medication. I swear that woman knows nothing about babies. Whew ok rant over lol

WOW! Why would someone even CONSIDER crushing up adult medications to give to a baby (or any child for that matter). That is just ridiculous.

wow! Ive been told to put liquor on my childrens gums when they were teething but I always just said no thanks  I reckon its what they did in the old days along with putting beer in their bottles to get them to go to sleep

i just politely yet firmly refused and took my baby the hell away from her lol

Give her an ounce or two of vodka. She'll be right as rain. :haha:

maybe even a smoke to calm her down!

>_< Some people :nope: I hate when people tell me OBVIOUSLY dangerous things to my child to make him feel better and then they make me feel bad because im "making" him suffer! :( like I don't feel bad enough as it is!

Wow and asprin of all things? No kid should have asprin, especially one with issues like your daughter. People are so stupid sometimes.

WOW.... That's possibly the most stupid 'advice' I've ever heard!!!

This women is ALWAYS giving me much unwanted advice, she has also tried to convince me that my baby who is rolling and crawling doesnt need a cot she can sleep in a big bed ! she is one of those people that thinks they know everything but in actual fact she knows nothing. I would never leave her alone with my baby for fear of what she would do... in fact id even go as far as to say my 5 year old has more common sense then her.

Wow I would never leave here alone with your baby!! How stupid xx

wow asprin my mon didnt even let me have one till i was 18! lol

Actually, in some heart babies, asprin is given to help their blood flow, but it is closely monitored by a doctor. :flower:

I agree though, she knows nothing of your baby's situation and should not offer that kind of advice. :nope:
