I was on my way in to Tesco today just approching the entrance & I spotted a girl (possibly about 17 - cnt have been any older!) talking to another young girl (I noticed them as one of them had a 'muppets' t-shirt on) Anyways this young girl had her back to a pram (a bright pink pram...I noticed that too) the pram was empty with a blanket half hanging out of it! I thought 'hmmm, wonder what she's done with her baby!'

I stroll in to Tesco to the Magazine isle to pick up 'OK' (out today) and I notice this little girl stood (a toddler....not quite sure how old) in the corner right in front of big swinging doors (which lead to the staff area!) holding a bag of party poppers and trying to figure out how they work (trying to pull the string out of one) I looked round to see if she was with anyone and there was a bunch of scally lads looking at a magazine at 'some fit bird!' so assumed she wasn't with them! I went up to her and asked if she had lost her mummy & she nodded, mummbled something then put her party poppers in my basket and held my hand so we could find her mummy!
We were walking to the front of the shop and I saw the same Girl (with the empty pram) come storming and and she just bawled at her little girl 'MOVE IT' she then grabbed the little girl and looked at me so I just said 'Are these your party poppers she's opened?' she just said no to me and then turned to a tesco worker and said 'sorry' (as in sorry for the open packet of party poppers) and walked out?

Not thanks for finding my little girl and making sure she's alright!
If I hadn't of noticed her and stopped her from pulling a party popper in her own face then who would!
You'd think with the recent news headlines people would be making sure they knew where their kids where.....esp in the summer holidays!
What's worring is she obviosly didn't come out of the shop with an empty pram so the little girl must have made her 'escape' when her mum had her back to the pram when she was busy chatting! God knows how long she'd been talking for.......its a bloody good job she'd gone back in to tesco and not gone in the other direction to the main road (about 20 yards away!) Thing is she would have had to pass her mum to get back in to Tesco!

    Grrrrr!!!

What a silly bitch! that sounds disgraceful. I don't know what else I can say to that, it's shocking.. and it's bad that people like this can have children.

By the way - I don't always think it's the age thing at all, I had people say I was too young to have a baby! (pregnant at 19, baby born at 20) and im nothing like that. Also know some young mums who wouldn't dream of doing that.

I was 20 and was 21 when my first was born!

Age has nothing to do with it but if your still a child yourself (stupid, irresponsible and wreckless!) you should NOT have children!!

Fucking annoys the shit outta me ....

Do half these silly girl realise how bloody lucky they actually are????

I was about to say, "Babies having babies." But, I've know many very young girls who've had babies and were great mothers. I've known older more intelligent women who sucked at being mothers. Some females never have mother instincts or are too selfish to put their children's happiness and welfare above their own. It's disgusting for sure. When I see shite like that, I get pissed! I heard something somewhere a while back that rings true...a dog can give birth, but it doesn't make it a mother.

I had a couple in at work today they were only 20 and lo was 18 months old but they were lovely and seemed to be fantastic parents. Its all about responsibility and I've seen a lot of older parents who quite frankly should know better and be responsible and are absolutely shocking.

Thats discusting! I think there are some excellent young mums out there but unfortunatly there are people like this who really dont deserve children! I too was 19 when pg and 20 when I had Ella but I was ready to be a mum and that was what I wanted. Its just such a shame that there are parents (of all ages) who are so irrisponsible xxx

Now that is so so true hunnie. It makes me sick when there are people out there like this, and then there are people out there like you who would make a great mum and are having problems carrying. The world is a very cruel place.

We've been ttc a third for 11 months, and the stupid cow next door has just had a temination because her bf doesn't want any more kids!

This post is kinda waaaay down near the bottom now, but im replying to it anyway!!!
I agree with Imi and anyone else who said children should not have children.
I was watching 'help, im a teen mum', on TV a few nights ago, and the title in itself made me thinkg "SERIOUSLY????"- These girls, maybe not all of them but certainly some of them, CHOSE to get themsleves pregnant at the age they are, Some as young as 14, so in my opinion, DONT go on TV asking for help!!!!
They did not have a freaking clue how to look after these poor babies.
One girl who already had a 2 year old, who had recently given birth to a 2nd 5 days prior to the filming and was just 16, left her newborn baby on the floor, and when her other daughter slightly kicked the baby (the toddler was non the wiser), this young girl went absolutely mental at the 2 year old "SHE JUST KICKED THE BABY!!!", ranting and raving pulling this toddler out of the room.
Now for a start, dont leave your newborn baby unattended in the middle of the floor with a toddler around, and secondly, you do not react that way to the child; she did not know any better. It made me mad, it really did... did anyone else watch it?

Secondly, in regards to the topic at hand and not being thanked for seeing that this little girl got back to her mother safely- sadly, this is what it's like this day and age (god I sound old lol)..
funnily enough, I was in tesco a few months back and next to me was a young girl playing with her little purse whilst her mother was in the que waiting to be served.
Anyway, when the mother and child had been seen to and was on their way out the doors... I noticed that the little girl had dropped her purse, so me being me, I ran after her. - I tapped her on the shoulder and asked "Is this yours"?, the mother looked at me, grunted, nodded her head, snatched the purse, pulled her child by the arm and strolled out the store. I was appalled.
