I use a good amount of gel but I was surprised just how lightly I had to press down with the probe. My bubs is just above the pubic bone and slightly on the right

I just ordered my Doppler this morning. Do I need a lot of gel when using it? Do I need to press real hard when searching for the heartbeat?
I think that's the only thing that will give me peace of mind in between scans. I had a great scan on Monday and now am back to my worry self LOL

I use a good amt of aloe vera and it works well. I just apply more if it gets thinned out. I wouldn't press too hard but you do have to put some pressure on there.
