Talk to me please ladies.

I'm seriously looking at this as a birthing choice but really can't afford the courses. Can anyone recommend a good book or book/CD combo please?

I'm in the UK and have used hypno CDs before... The only thing is they can't have any annoying voices on. I want soothing voices not irritating lol!

Thank you my lovelies :hugs:

xx

I have the same problems. I have taken to YouTube and have tried a few out before committing to buying. There was a mum who wrote an amazing both story and she used this method. I shall look for it and will post the link when I find it xx

I never took a class but I read the Mongan Method book. The CDs I found pretty useless but the book was great and taught some wonderful breathing techniques.

I bought the gentlebirth set and I'm pleased so far. It came highly recommended from friends.

I, too, have the Mongan Method book. I haven't listened to the CD at all but the book seems to have a lot of info. I'm not taking classes either just hoping to learn what I can.

This is the one I got. The voice is very soothing to me.

I am doing natal hypnotherapy via 4 CDs from home and so far so good. You listen to different CDs at different stages. Cost me £40 but includes an after birth CD too which isn't a necessity.
It's the UK version of 'hypnobirthing' so it's English accent not American accent xx

This is the one I have, I am American, but I quite like the English accent!

Thanks for the replies so far :hugs:

I'm not against American accents as such as most of them are great, but I had one sleep cd that I just couldn't take seriously as it had this American guy on it and I just kept getting the giggles. I also feel this is something I need a female's voice to guide me as I know men are perfectly capable of performing in this role but I want a woman if I'm going to take this seriously! xx
