So Lily-May usually sleeps through from about 9pm-8am but the past week she has been waking up about half four :/ I'm not sure if it is the sun rising that is waking her up or if it is this regression? what is the regression? is it a growth spurt? x

You could try a blackout blind? When she wakes, is it crying or just chatting to herself? If she's not crying and just making noises, I would try leaving her for a little while to see if she can settle herself back to sleep. Sometimes Louie wakes for 15 minutes and talks to himself then goes back to sleep. xx

It could well be a regression or a growth spurt at your lo's age. I agree with the blind too Evan wakes everyday between 4-5am.

Some mums (me included) would give anything to have a baby sleep that well. Evan has slept through once in 7 months! No that is tired haha x

Thanks ladies, I was thinking of a blackout blind. a few nights its been crying and the next just noises. I am lucky she has slept through from about four weeks, have just got used to it so now it feels tiring waking up at four lol. thank you :)

It's tough when you get used to them sleeping through then they suddenly start waking again, we had the same trouble with the 4 month regression.

I would also suggest a black out blind. x

i can beat u on that one lol, nicole is still waking during the nite. i think its been about year since i slept all nite. couldnt sleep from 7 mths pregnant, i should get some award for that :haha:

I guess every baby is just different, I was just looking for some advice so tthanks those who gave it :)

I would definately try a blackout blind! My LO was getting up at 6am ish, I put some towells up over her curtains to make the room a little darker (before investing in a blackout blind - I didn't want to waste the money!) and she slept in til 8am the other day. It was quite unusual for me to wake up naturally next to DH without the monitor going off LOL.

Also have you thought about buying a light show or something that is sound/motion activated? I only got one recently, used it for the first time last night and it really transfixed my LO and got her to self settle to sleep in about 5 mins. It may be worth a go, as it may drift her back off to the land of nod before she wakes you :)

maybe get a cheap blackout blind first just in case. we have a blackout blind and blackout curtains and she still wakes from 4am. there is a sleep regression around the age of ur lo and it throws everything out.
