I think it is interesting to hear the answer to this question.
I don't mind my name, Sara, though I find it a bit plain, and I grew up with a plethora of Sara/Sarah's in my classes and as acquaintances. I found it annoying, and eventually chose to go by a nickname, not that I hated my name, but because it was easier to distinguish my name from others. I often heard/hear other people addressed as Sarah, and can hear the H being pronounced. I think that it would have annoyed me more to have an H. My middle name is Elaine, and it is the name we have passed down so far. It is my mother's, my sister's, my DD's and my own middle name. I kind of like that aspect of it, though I'm not too sure how I feel about the name itself. I always wished that I had been given a fancier name. I loved Guinevere and Elisabeth, names that seemed to have an aura of grace and power behind them. I often think of these things when trying to decide the name for our baby.
How do you feel about your name?
