Hi guys,

wondering if anyone would be able to help for the passed 3 days i have been experincing discharge which looks like mucus plug . Doesnt smell its very much like snot see thorugh and its only when i wipe to go to the toilet should i be concerned should i go doctors ???

I am 9 weeks 3 days pregnant. Have recently been screened for stds and clear.

Hey,,yr discharge increases and changes throughout pregnancy so unless it's accompanied with cramping or bleeding I wouldn't panic. The mucus plug also has the ability to re-seal IF some IS lost. If you're concerned see your GP they'll know best :)

dont know if it is mucus plug but very simular. no cramping or bleeding everything is fine just curious .

thankyou

Hi hun, this is nothing to worry about as long as it is clear and not bloodstained if it is then you would contact your GP or midwife directly, i had this early on in pregnancy too generally you should expect to get more discharge in pregnancy this just sounds like a bit of mucous plug which always regenerates itself anyway.. good luck with your pregnancy :)

If it is actually green then you should see your doctor. A slight off white (maybe even a tiny yellow hint) can be normal but it should not be green. Your hormones are raging and allow for fast growth of unwanted little things to be able to thrive. It is a simple cotton swab test, just to make sure there is nothing "growing". GL :D

This is a bit of relief have you actually spoke to midwife/doctor in regards to this. I didnt have it with my daughter, i dont have nay pain am not really concerned more confused.

green can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis. I would get swabbed just to be safe.

I'm having this too, its a very light greeen too, I'm just chalking it up to hormones.

I took this from babycenter:

Is vaginal discharge ever a sign that something's wrong?
If your discharge changes, it may need treating. See your doctor or midwife if your discharge is any of these:
unpleasant and fishy smelling
frothy, yellow or green
thick and curdy

Depending on your symptoms, you may have thrush or a bacterial infection. (bacterial vaginosis) best to have these treated before you have your baby, although thrush can come and go while you're pregnant.

So I'd get swabbed. I've had BV before, and it has no odor, nothing. Just a weird dishcharge color usually yellow or green. I would rather be safe than sorry, as BV can actually harm your baby if you don't get it treated. Good luck!!

My best friend's grandma is a nurse and she always checked everyone's snot (from their noses, lol) if they were sneezing or had a runny nose (we were in elementary school, so having her do that was not weird, haha). Anyways, she would tell us that if it's clear we're good, but if it's cloudy, yellow, or green we need to go see a doctor because that means we have some sort of sinus infection or are getting a cold. I don't know if it's the same for vaginal discharge, but just based on what she always told us, if I had green VD I would definitely get it checked.

Is it still happening, or was it a one time fluke? If it's still happening or gets worse I'd definitely go. Better to be safe than sorry. I hope it's nothing though :).

I did mention it to her, she didn't sound concerned but she said if its bothering me then go to the doctor.

But my discharge is changing all the time, I think its just all the hormones
x

So, I'm having this too, but only when I strain with a bm (sorry, if tmi...)

I was just attributing it to hormones and all that - but now everyone's got me nervous. It doesn't smell and doesn't itch and isn't super-green - It's just slightly greener than pure white.

I don't have a drs appt for another 2 weeks and the dr is booked solid until then - so I guess I'll just wait it out.
