sowing machine

Not sure im posting this in the right place but anyway..
Im in desperate need of a sowing machine. I would like to know what are the best ones i can get for under £100 (prefrably under £70 but £100 is max) I also would need it to be somewhere i could pick it up today (argos asda tesco ect) so it cant be online shopping

I havent got a john lewis close, i live in leamington spa if that helps anyone. the local sowing shops are really expencive. (they was my 1st port of call this morning) i only need a little basic one to start off with and they had all fancy ones im going to try argos after lunch as my friend has said there is one half price so i going to have a look.

Ah thats a shame because Silver Viscount are truly the best sewing machines I have tried (and I have tried Pfaff, Singer, Brother, Janome and various 'generic' brands)-but very few mainstream shops sell them, they do one that often goes for under £100 its basic but a sturdy workhorse!

Did you manage to get a sewing machine? have you tried yout local charity shops they often have them,they dont charge much for them either.

Yeh i managed to get one in the end. made my sons pillow for school and gave him a slap for giving me 1 day notice haha. Bloody kids
