Sperm meets egg method?

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone had any success with this method? My doctor told me not to BD for 5 days before ovulation but this method tells you to bd every other day.

I also dont think i have the cervical mucus and so i'm wondering if taking the cough syrup helps?

Haven't tried the method but a few girls on here have so I'm sure someone will be able to provide you more information on it. I can tell you that if you want to increase your CM, you can take cough meds but you might just want to go with Mucinex since it only contains the expectorant you need. Some cough meds have additional medication that you really don't need. A few other things to consider is: drink lots of water, eat or drink grapefruit juice prior to ovulation - that seems to work very well for a lot of folks. If you don't like or can't have grapefruit, you might want to try primrose oil but be sure to stop taking it before you ovulate.

Because she said there would be more sperm. We git pregnant the first time doing this and using the clear blue ovulating kit (I had a mc).

I am not sure if not bd'ing for 5 days is good or not. I am willing to try anything

It seems a bit excessive... would think 2 or 3 days would be fine, even with a count/motility issue - ?

Beware of regular/non specialist doctors, they don't always know best!

I see. I do that for IUI, so I can understand.

If he doesn't have any issues, I'd just go with every other day in your fertile phase. You don't have to have sex every other day the entire month. Just for about a week when you are fertile.
If you notice you get ewcm, then I'd go every day with ewcm and for 1-2 days after. If you temp, I'd go daily from ewcm through until the rise in your temp.
