spinning babies advice please

Hi all,

so i'm 32wks and 3days, at my last midwife appointment I was told LO head down, then over the weekend I went in to be monitored due to reduced movement and they said he was now breech (head up)

I know there's still plenty of time for movement, but as I had a section last time my trust will not offer a turn this time, and obviously if he stays breech it'll mean another section, and i'm aiming for a VBAC.

I had a look on the spinning babies site, but i'm wondering, should I wait untill it's confirmed what position LO is in before I go and try turning him, is there a chance if he's facing the right way I can turn him the wrong way or does it not work like that?

I think I read on the website that the exercises won't turn a head down baby breech. Since you're still early on you could wait for confirmation just so you feel better about it. My LO was breech and I tried the exercises. By 37 weeks he was head down!

I was just looking at that site yesterday. There are a few exercises that you cannot do if you baby is head down, but they clearly state which. I have no idea which way my baby is facing but will have an u/s around 32 weeks for a low placenta. Hoping he/she is head down...

Yep, they tell you if it's something you should or shouldn't be doing if baby is head down, so go ahead and do the optimal position exercises that DON'T say not to do them if baby is head down, and when/if it's confirmed that your baby is breech, go ahead and do the others.

The website says that they won't make a head-down baby turn, but I waited to confirm babies position anyway. But that is just me.

I was also told not to go swimming once baby is head down because the baby might turn onto breech, but that if baby IS breech then swimming might help turn, but then someone else told me this was an old wives tale so I don't know.

Good luck, and hopefully baby gets in the correct position.
