Spotting thread got me wondering...

Okay if you have spotting for say 5 days pre-af and you have a 14 day LP, is your LP actually 14 days, or is it 9? Does the lp end when the spotting starts because if so I am very rarely, if ever hitting a 10 day LP. I have read that you have to have a minimum 10 day LP to achaieve pregnancy, so if what I am thinking is true, I am averaging a 7 day LP. Does anyone know more about this?

Technically CD1 is the first day of full flow of blood. So technically our LP is still 14 days
BUT - I would suspect you either do have a progesterone defficiency OR mild endometriosis (it's common to spot with endometriosis).

Can you may be ask for CD21 bloods, but not on CD21 but rather on 10DPO? You basically work out when you are 10DPO and ask for progesterone blood test then.

Have you been tested for endometriosis? You'd need a laparoscopy for that.

Ive never been tested for that endometriosis but I have suspected I might have that. I have very painful periods, mild cramps my entire 2ww, the spotting issue, and the fact that when I have done a endo diet and taken vitamins and supplements that are supposed to help endo, it does in fact help me. I know none of that is concrete but it does make me suspect it.
