spotting

i just got a bfp on cb digi. im worried tho as im 14 dpo and spotting ever so lightly, mainly when i wipe on and off for last 4 days. it is a dark brown colour and not there all the time. i generally have a long cycle with a short leutal phase. anyone else has this?

kirst - congrats on the bfp!

Spotting, especially dark brown, can be perfectly normal. It may be implantation bleed, or an irritated cervix - short luteal phase or not. As for the short luteal phase, make sure to get extra rest, keep warm and take it easy (and don't stress!) to make sure LO gets buried nice and tight. There's no guarantees, but it won't hurt.

Still, since you'll be wanting to see your doc right away anyways, do mention it to her.

ive had brown discharge and all sorts since i found out i was expecting, brown is thought of as good tho as its old blood. its a possibility it is just implantation bleeding (or like me cervix ectopy...a raw bit of cervix bleeds from time to time but nothing to worry about) try not to worry i know this is easier said than done, also make a note of when it happens and previous activites etc as i noticed mine was worse when i was walking or exercising. x x x take care hunnie

It can be old blood and if there is no red blood that is good. I had brown spotting a few times everything was ok x
