Does anyone else find their LO's squirm in their sleep?

at the moment he is only 36 weeks in gestation and we are in the hospital, so mainly sleeps in between his 4 hourly feeds. He doesnt squirm at every sleep, but he makes these weird creaky sounding noises, some times waves his arms, some times goes red in the face and looks like he is in pain ( which I assume is a bowel movement) and just generally makes little girgley noises too.

He is being fed mainly via the bottle from my milk and formula as I am not producing enough, could the fact he is on formula be effecting his sleep? or do all babies have active sleep like this?! just want to check!

thanks in advance for you help

xx

My lo is such a wriggler, it drives me up the wall sometimes, she is breast fed so its nothing to do with the type of milk just think some babies are more of wrigglers than others, Imogen grunts, throws her hands in the air and kicks when sleeping.
Think its normal hun

same here, the noise was unreal so had to go in his own room at 8 weeks:cry:

ah thanks so much, olly was grunting too glad it normal!!!
