hi ladies
just a quick post to warn u all, have noticed on my hospital ward this bug is flying round again. ive managed to catch it on wards. its the usual d&v sickness bug that goes round every winter and is not harmful to the baby as long as you keep yourself hydrated but makes u feel like death! unfortunately its mainly airbourne so not much we can do about it but make sure u keep hand sanitizer on u and use it regularly because it will reduce ur chances of getting it. also if it lasts more than 3 days contact ur doctor, if u get severely hydrated u may need to be admitted to hospital and put on an iv drip. hope none of u get it - i feel awful :-( xxx

I think i had this last year and ended up passing out in asda in the middle of my weekly shop, can't imagine getting anything like that while pregnant, hope you get better soon :( thanks for the heads up though xxxx

unfortunately im likely to get everythin goin since its my first time workin on medical wards and my immunity is lower since im pregnant. just want everyone else to avoid it as much as possible, unfortunately we're far more susceptible xxx

My mum and dad have a sickness bug at the moment, so avoiding them like the plague lol.

Hope you feel better soon and thanks for the warning :)

XxX

is this the same as the norovirus? two schools in my area have been closed for two days due to most of the school and staff beign sick with it and needing the whole schools disinfecting :|

yep it is the norovirus. unfortunately it seems to be spreading quicker than usual this year. horrible illness and not much anyone can do to prevent it but keeping alcohol gel on u is always a good idea xxx

Ah glad im off work at the moment then, hope u feel better soon xxx
