stabbing pain

im 5 weeks pregnant today according to doctors guidelines. i have had really light spotting, when i wipe which finished today. around dinner time i felt a sharp stab in my pubic area to the right. just one stab. i have then felt this about 5 times since. is it anything to worry about or just stretching?

i could really say what it is but id advise you contact your doctor and explain fully to him/her...maybe they will book you for a scan to find out why you have been spotting and getting this pain, although baby will only look like i splodge on the screen they might be able to rule out things likes cysts etc (i have 2 cysts and had stabbing pain from them, nothing to worrry about tho as they are common in pregnancy) x x x all the best x x x

I had that a few times too, I havent had it for a couple of weeks now though! I spoke to my midwife and she said it sounded like it was just everything stretching but to just take it easy and if it gets any worse or if you have any bleeding then go to your GP. I'm sure its nothing to worry about but if you are then go it checked just to be safe
