I started a new job recently and it requires me standing for long periods of time ( basicly 9 of a 10 hr shift)
I worry that all the standing and lifting ( 20 lbs max) is going to put the baby at risk..
There isn't alot of work offered in our area so I have to be thankful for this one and we need the money
Our plan is for me to work till at least March ( I'll be 7 months pregnant by then) so I can quilify for Mat. leave.
I am just scared for the baby...
There isn't an option to do lighter duties..

If you're used to the job then it shouldn't put you at risk. Remember to lift properly not bending your back but knees and you should be a bit safer. Can't promise it'll do no harm but I know the feeling, I'm a nurse and have to turn heavy elderly patients among other heavy jobs, so far I've not harmed myself or the baby xxx

I agree with Suzi - if you're used to it, then you should be fine. Could you possibly get a stool so you can sit here and there? That may help with your feet. :)
