How do you encourage your LO to stand/ walk on their own? We've been cruising and pulling up to standing for a few months but so far no further progress..

I just give Ronan the opportunities and let him get on with it at his own pace. I will move a chair or the ottoman a short distance from another piece of furniture so that he can reach and step between them. If he wants something I have, I stand just out of reach and hold it out for him to take. If he's whinging to be picked up, I hold my arms out and tell him to come to mummy rather than go over and pick him up.

ETA: I think that ultimately, other than just providing an encouraging environment, that they'll just do it when they're good and ready and developmentally make that leap on their own.
