hi
I'm a week behind 3rd tri (yay)! But not sure if it's the start of SPD or not
My pelvic bone and groin area are aching. I did push my toddler around town yesterday but I got no relief from the aches/pains last night unless my legs were supported in bed. No change this morning...
What do you think?

Sounds like how mine started. It hurts more the more I do, and waking for a tinkle in the middle of the night is usually when it hurts the most.

Did you take paracetamol or just put up with it?
I got to the point last time when I couldn't turn in bed / go for a tinkle in night but didn't think I'd perhaps get it so early on this time! I've got 3 mths to go!

Unfortunately I also have had a bad back from about 26 weeks, i'm 35 now, so I'm on paracetamol and codine constantly. -I can still feel both the spd and the backache though. :0(
Everyone has different thoughts on painkillers, and some don't like to take them at all. I try to take as little as will be ok, but just can't cope with none. This weekend has been a slow one do us so I've only taken paracetamol and smaller quantities of codine, but I'm all day in London tomorrow at 4 seperate meetings around town, so will be needing all the pain killers possible. (I would love to not do this and give up work, but its just not an option for us financially) :0(

Gosh bless you I dont envy you! I thought I had it bad driving an hr with a toddler in back then doing a 7.5 hr day at work but there's times when working behind a desk has it's advantages!! Hope your day goes ok !
I tried to do the no pain killers thing with my first pregnancy and in my opinion it's worse if you don't help yourself !!

Sounds like it to me. I don't take pain killers (I'm no martyr or anything - I just use cushions, support belt, hot showers, etc.) There is a post on my blog about mine from last time of you want to have a look - I'm not a medic or anything but I just wrote down what worked for me. It has definitely helped for this pregnancy - I still have it but I would say that now it has only got really bad since baby started moving down - last time I had it from 16 weeks and it was agony.

Hope you find what works for you x

Oh yes, warm baths and a hot water bottle do a really good job too, def worth a try! :0)

It sounds like youre just achey from over doing it. my spd makesnit hard for me to rol over in bed at night or get up from resting.. usually worse in the.morning I limp for about half an hour.. it feels like my vagina ia dislocated haha sorry... I have to wear a support belt and go for physio so if you think you have it talk to your midwofe she can give you exercises to do to stop it getting too bad xx

Just read your second post then and yes it sounds just like mine so yeh it sounds like youve got it.. sorry for all the typos im on my phone.. I learned that if I roll over in bed with my legs up and together it doesnt hurt so much and if I roll off the edge of the bed when I get up also helps. the support belt doesnt help much at nigjt if Im honest but it great during the day as it distrubutes the weoght evenly. xx

I'm thinking I have this now too. It started a little over a week ago and UKgirl, the rolling over in bed is what gives this away. My hips seem to pop a lot too when I'm rolling over. I'm getting a support belt hopefully today. Hoping that helps a bit at least during the day.
