Starting Clomid/IUI this cycle....

I guess I thought I would never have to actually start Clomid and IUI. I kept thinking it would happen on it's own, even though it's been 2.5 years of trying. My tubes were unblocked in Sept, still no luck. I'm happy to be starting - a little worried but happy and anxious. I start the clomid tomorrow (day 3) and take for 5 days. Is anyone else going through this for the first time or even around this time if it's not your first time? I'd love to have a buddy to chat to through all this. My friends don't understand - all they say is "you need to stop worrying about it so much" - frustrating. Anyway, I'd love someone to chat to!!!

Ok - just went and had my day 3 bloodork done and took my first Clomid pill. Eek. It's really happening.

I'm on IUI no.2 (2.5 years with unexplained), having a scan on Monday and IUI should be sometime next week.

i just finish my 2nd cycle of clomid. doc bump my dosage to 100mg from 50mg. Going in 2m for CD9 follie scan. Didnt get much side effects from the Clomid but did get a slight headache and mild cramping on the left side. hopefully some good news 2m .

I don't think i'm scheduled for a follie scan. I know they did one last year and said I had lots. Shouldn't he do another? Or would he maybe do it right before IUI? Is it jsut done with an internal U/S?

i think they should be doing it when AF comes during the month so on CD 3-7 and then CD 7-10 and again on CD 16- something. That was the routine for me on my first cycle of Clomid. Just to see if the follies are growing hope that helps a little sorry =)

Yikes - I'm not scheduled to be back at clinic until I get my IUI. The only thing I had done on day 3 was bloodwork....

You should definitely have a scan before the IUI to make sure that your follies are mature. Are you having an injection to trigger ovulation?

No injection - I do ovulate on my own each month. They gave me a prescription for 50mg Clomid and told me to buy an ovulation kit....and when I see the surge I go in that day. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Is the scan just done by an internal U/S? I know they have that equipment at the Clinic so maybe they do it before the IUI? Ahhh, not knowing the unknown is frustrating but I am very confident in my Dr and that I'll be cooking a bun in my oven because of this
