Moving to a house with tiles and lino floors, and looking into getting a steam mop & cleaner combo. Is it worth it?

I have the x5 & love it! It's so quick & simple to use. I haven't tried it on glass yet tgh, I'm paranoid about it cracking with the heat lol!

Idk I got a cheaper one and while it was ok, it did streak the floor and push bits of dirt around, then I ended up with black streaks from where little bits of dust had collected and got wet. I don't use it now, tbh i scrub on my hands and knees!

I had a morphy richards one as my flat I lived in previous to this house was laminate throughout - it was good in the sense that it was quick and easy but it used to leave marks sometimes, kinda like white marks/streaks and if you leave it in one spot for two seconds too long it used to leave a bad white mark on the floor. I had to make sure as well that I hoovered well before hand because other wise it just collected dust and dirt that, like lau said it would just clump together, push them about and leave more marks with them.
My dining room and bathroom are laminate in this house and I have a tiled kitchen so not laminate throughout, but I prefer to just use a normal mop now.

I have the x5 and I love it :) bit pricey but all the extras it has makes up for it, we have laminate everywhere but the kitchen (tile) and the stairs (carpet) and it's fantastic for cleaning the sticky bits the kids leave when they spill stuff :) it heats up in seconds.

I have the x5 and think it's great :) I use it on the tiles and laminate and on the double glass doors to the conservatory. It's so easy to use x

I have a Shark steam mop for the kitchen tile floor. It does work well, but I typically use it more as an in between deep cleaning tool. It works well enough for regular cleaning, but every now and then, I think the floor still needs a good cleaning with a mop and floor cleaning solution.

If you plan to get one, I would recommend not cheaping out on it. Get a good quality one, or it just won't get the floor clean. I know plenty of people who tried cheaper steam mops and hated them because the cheap ones just don't do a very good job.

I have a shark one, I like it pretty well. I can't use it on my new floors though, so I am debating if it is worth keeping just for the bathrooms.

You do have to vacuum first, and if the mop heads get too dirty it will leave streaks, but I only had this happen once when the floor was filthy. It was kind of smearing hot mud...

I'm another one with the X5 and I LOVE it. Would recommend it to anyone, I use it on everything!!
