We know that we sterilise due to the bacteria in formula and that we can stop after 12 months but does anyone know if you use Growing Up milk if you still have to sterilise?
My LO is 1 in 3 weeks and I'm not going to put her on cow's milk just yet but want to know the answer to the above question :)

No you dont need to sterilise anything from 1.

I wouldnt sterilise for a 1+ yr old to be honest!

The reason for sterilizing is because if there is any spots of left over milk in the bottle it breeds harmful bacteria which can make LO poorly. By 12 months they have built up enough immune system for it not to harm them so dont need to sterilize with any milk after that time.
Thats what the health professionals say. :flower:

nope its not neccasary to sterilise after 12 months +. just give them a good scrub in a bowl of hot water and fairly liquid and rinse that should get rid of any left over milk.
