Still bleeding 6 weeks + 3 days after c section?

Anyone still bleed that far out from a c section? It had stopped over a week ago and now today there is more! I'm exclusively breastfeeding and it doesnt seem like my period is back?

I'm exclusively BFing and its been 10 weeks of bleeding for me. was told you bleed longer if BFing.

I'm still bleeding 7wks 6 days (no break at all) after the C Section. I was told that you shouldn't bleed as long when breast feeding. I'm going to go back to my GP on Friday as it doesn't seem normal to me

Ive just posted a similarish question. Ive got post natal anxiety. Had a csection 2 wks ago & keep getting a gush of red blood 3times a day its not enough to soak a pad in an hr and doesnt look like clots. Its like ewcm and red blood. Im panicking about every little thing. Does this sound normal ? Sorry for posting a question on your thread

Hello, try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Are you breastfeeding? This could be a cause of the gush feeling. If not, if you've got your feet up for a little while and then stand up to do stuff, you will gush. My blood loss was like bloody ewcm, totally normal - there's lots of goop that's built up in there for 9 months that needs to come away. I hope your anxiety fades in time. xx

Ah thank u - i am breastfeeding & little one fed contantly from 4pm - 10pm last night then from 1am on and off till 8am so she must b having a growth spurt hopefully this has caused the gushing thanks for advice x

I had this and was checked over by my consultant - he said at around 6 weeks after a cs the uterine sutures start to come loose and are expelled with bleeding.

I bled for a while with my son (almost 8 weeks), but am still spotting now after my daughter at almost 12 weeks PP. If it goes on long enough, then they will do a scan to see if there is a bit of placenta that was retained. This can cause ongoing bleeding. I'm getting one done soon, but I think I just spot for much longer than average!

Edit: Oops - I didn't have a C-section - not sure about bleeding after section.

I know I was still spotting at my 6wk followup appt... guessing it's pretty normal based on the responses. I want to say it was closing in on 8wks before it totally stopped... I would get spotting off and on... like just when I thought it was done, nope, it came back for a day or two. Especially when I started taking up walking again... but I've had nothing since. Not even a normal period yet?! And I'm now on my 2nd pack of birth control pills (since I stopped pumping). Who knew you could actually MISS your period? LOL. I feel like that will be a good sign my hormones are more "normal" again though
