Still no baby so looks like c-section for me today! *UPDATED!*

This baby has decided to be stubborn (OH says this means it is a girl, lol) so, unless something happens in the next few hours I am off to the hospital to have a c-section this afternoon.

I am heartbroken that I am not getting my vbac, but a healthy baby is the most important thing. I was actually pretty lucky to find a doctor here that even did vbacs and even more so one that "let" (I hate using that word since it was really a mutual decision between all of us based on lots of information) me go a week late!

Wish me luck, and just to let everyone know, dates, pineapple, dtd, walking, exercising, using the birth ball, and nipple stimulation does NOT work for everybody, lol. I also used epo and rrlt but I am not sure if that did anything either.

Either way I will be holding my baby in my arms soon and that is the most wonderful thing!

GL with the c section. At least your journey is over in a matter of hours and u can start the next chapter having that lovely wee bundle in your arms.

i'm being allowed to go 10 days over so LO has 7-8 days to get out or i'm in for section too. Do u know, despite having an extra 10 days, i just have a feeling i wont get my vbac either. I'll need to try and b more positive about section like u have just been.

Good luck. I can also confirm that NOTHING works to get baby out. If they dont want to come, they dont come unfortunately! Exciting that baby will be here very soon

It's a BOY!- Keelan Sage had a very scary entrance into the world via c-section at 3:35 pm weighing 8 lbs 5 oz. It turned out that the reason he wouldn't engage was because his cord was wrapped very tightly around his neck twice and holding him up! He also swallowed a ton of meconium at some point and was so distressed they had to take him straight to NICU and were talking about taking him to a different hospital. Luckily when they put a tube down his throat to get the gunk out and he started doing so much better and is now being held by OH and can stay in the room with us. I am sooo happy!

It seems like our bodies are smarter than we are sometimes. I can't even think about what might have happened if I actually had gone into labor.

C-sections suck, but I am just so glad he is here and doing ok that I don't care at all that I didn't get my vbac, OH didn't get to cut the cord, I didn't get to have immediate skin-to-skin with a dirty baby etc.

OH absolutely loved announcing to the room "It's a boy!"

Congratulations! I can see why you don't care about no vbac as baby needed help getting here safe and sound.

Wow what great news! I'm so glad u didn't try to push him! Congratulations on your little man (although 8.5 is not so little!). You've given me some peace now about being pushed into a csectiom for baby's safety as well
