The damn bottle!!!!!!! I'm so frustrated. I've tried a million bottles, nipples, sippy cups, positions. Me there, not there, me feeding him, oh, my mom.. Hungry, not very hungry. Walking around, sitting where he usually nurses, everywhere else.
He might take a couple sucks but he then just chews on it, and eventually get frustrated and pushes it away.
I can't go back to work, I had to drop out of school. I can't have a night out.. I'm going crazy!!!!!!!
I LOVE him and don't want to leave him but just the occasional dinner or ability to work once a week and go back to school so I can finally finish getting my degree.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain! My LO was exactly the same! I realised she would only take formula from a bottle. I was trying her with EBM all the ways you have listed. Have you tried offering formula?

My LO went through a phase of doing this and it lasted for 7 weeks. I was going out of my mind and thinking i would be BF'ing until she was at school with a boob poked through the railings at lunch time but it didnt get to that!

What you need to do is just stop offering it for 2 weeks. In this time he will forget all about it and by the time he sees it again he will be curious about what it is. Put all your bottles, teats etc etc away out of sight out of mind and EBF. Then 2 weeks later get a NUK bottle with a latex teat (as they are nice and soft and floppy), go out shopping for a couple of hours and leave with OH and get him to wait until hes hungry then offer it. If hes hungry he will take it. We did this and shes been fine with bottles ever since.

Well, it sounds like you've tried most of what I was going to suggest. DS won't take a bottle unless he's pretty hungry and undistracted. Otherwise it's a toy. Did your babe take one when he was younger, or never?

Elsie was exactly the same, and unfortunately still is at times, but we are getting better! After flat refusing a bottle for weeks, I gave her one while she was asleep, before I went to bed, and she took 2oz of it without a peep and was ready to go back in her cot. I then made it part of bedtime... I offered my breast first and let her feed for 5mins, then offered her the bottle, then back to the boob when she fussed, then more bottle etc... I found she didn't work herself up then!
Now we start with the bottle, she'll drink 5oz and finish off with some boob before going down. She's also taken the odd one through the day too.
I'm using the MAM bottles... She hasn't taken a bottle off anyone else yet, but I figure we are heading in the right direction! Good luck

No I haven't tried the formula yet... I was trying to steer clear of that but might be my last resort! Thanks for that suggestion!
I think I'll just try to forget about it for a couple weeks and try again when he's forgotten about the whole thing!!!
He took bottles just fine in the beginning! Would drink it really fast!
I just ordered a bottle of amazon, I forget what its called but its kind of expensive. I'll try it in a couple weeks.
Thanks all!! So happy to hear that theres hope for me!!!

I have a friend whose baby will only drink out of an open top cup. She tried everything but he just won't have it. His personal favourite drinking vessel is a pint glass! He started this at 6mths.

I agree with the cup suggestion. I spent months trying to get my LO to take a bottle but she wouldn't have any of it - it was so frustrating! She will, however, drink out of a cup. It was kind of messy and slow at first but she's gotten much better with practice. She still breastfeeds 99% of the time but at least I know that in an emergency someone else would be able to feed her :flower:

I have tried an open cup and he does take it much better!! But its messy lol maybe at 6 months he'll be a bit better. Or if I get a better cup. Thanks!!!

My LO started refusing bottles at 9 weeks and now at almost 11 months she won't take a sippy cup either (I've been trying since she was 6 months old!). I've had some limited success with a doidy cup, but she gets soaked and its a pain in the butt. I was planning on weaning her from BF at 12 months. Fat chance, but I'm still hoping....

UPDATE!
I just tried the ADIRI nurser and he took it!!!!!!!
Yyaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!!!
