Stinging!

I'm just getting over mastitus, got three days left on antibiotics, it doesnt hurt anywhere near as bad but i get this stinging feeling while LO's feeding from the infected side. Is this just the mastitus or am i doing something else wrong?

You're going to hate me.... but if you had antibiotics for mastitis, I'd suspect thrush.... the two often go together....

Perhaps trying some of the natural remedies for thrush, and making a GP appointment?

I was going to say the same thing, when I took antibiotics for mastitis this caused me to get thrush (because the anitbiotics kill of good bacteria which fight off the thrush, or something like that), and there is definitely a stinging feeling in the nipple with thrush. Some other signs of thrush are white patches your LOs mouth or nappy rash, as well as red sore stinging nipples. I would go and see your GP to get it confirmed (or ruled out as it may be something else).
